BACKGROUND: The I-84 Weber River Bridge Replacement project is fully replacing two bridges originally constructed in the 1960s that cross the Weber River. Once replaced, these bridges will continue to play a vital role in assisting Weber Canyon travelers. This project is estimated to wrap up in late spring of 2027. Much of the work through Spring 2026 will remain off-road from I-84. !! UPCOMING ALERT !! Sunday, January 4 | 8am to 5pm | Expect single outside lane closure for eastbound traffic. Standby for subsequent daytime or nighttime EB outside lane closures as planned. Dates TBA. Plan on light delays with more moderate congestion during peak hours.
